5月26日 Rainy Day.......5月6日 Intuitive PaintingThis one was supposed to be an intuitive painting, put simply you paint what you feel, the first things that come to mind. After I did this painting I did some research on the net about intuitive painting and I found it's more about colour and flow and most of it seems to be a lot less structured than my attempt, (probably should've done the research before I started)Not that I am totally displeased with the result, it's just not what I was supposed to be aiming for. But it was a result of the mood I was in when I painted it so I'm sort of there, I just need a little more practice......... Before I go here are some links with some examples that I thought were interesting of intuitive painting... http://www.helenallen.co.uk/about_helen.html http://annaleabennett.artspan.com/index.php And here's the link to the thread at the Artrage Forum....Intuitive Painting 5月2日 Bumble's Sky Tutorial for ArtrageThe following is a quick tutorial on how I paint skies with Artrage. Step 1I usually use a canvas size of 3360 x 2040, but you can use any resolution you wish. For this particular painting have the paper on the default setting. But I find you can get really good results using the basic crumpled or heavy crumpled paper. Using the Paintbrush on 100% Brush Size and 100% pressure and loading(no thinner) I paint the sky roughly how I want it . Step 2When I'm satisfied with the rough layout, I start blending the paint using a dry brush on 100% pressure( 0% loading and 0% thinner). I work with a graphics tablet, I have a Wacom Bamboo. Even though I have the setting set to 100% pressure I don't actually press very hard I press lightly to blend the paint in a circular motion. It's sort of like writing the letter e over and over. If you don't have a graphics tablet and you are using a mouse just set the pressure to about 15% you should get the same result. Here is a close up and with a diagram of the motion I use........ Step 3I just carry on with the same motion until I've blended it all. This process usually takes me about 1hr maybe an hour and half. Try not to press to hard because it will not blend it will just push the paint around, Although if you are using a different canvas texture you may find you need to press a bit harder. FinishedThere you have it. Hopefully I explained the well enough to understand. If I didn't try going to the Artrage forums and looking at my first tutorial there. http://www2.ambientdesign.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=6698 4月13日 I'm new to thisHello, I'm new to this (totally) and I'm just getting to grips with the techy stuff so please be patient while I work everything out!!
As you can see from my pictures I am an amateur digital artist, I discovered a wonderful program about two years ago called Artrage. It enables you to paint using your computer, you can use a mouse(which I have done in the past) or you can use a graphics tablet. For those of you who are interested you can download a free copy of Artrage from here http://www.ambientdesign.com/artragedown.html
The free copy doesn't have the same functionality as the paid for version but you can use it for as long as you like there is no trial period.
I paint(with artrage) purely as a hobby, I find it relaxing.......my familiy and friends enjoyed my work so much they encouraged me to show it to other people, so finaly after alot of coaxing here I am showing it to you.
Enjoy
See ya later
